We meet once a fortnight for the inductive Bible study at GBU Parma, and the group coordinators have been taking on the commitment of doing on-campus outreach once a week since last year. We’re so very happy and grateful to the Lord for how He is guiding every activity.

Last year we were very discouraged by the low participation at meeting, but this year there are always around ten of us (it’s a big number for our city), and in total there are fifteen people who take part.

Group participants are from different church backgrounds and there are various young adults who still do not attend church, but who are interested in reading the Word.

We also thank God for having allowed us to meet in a new rented room in the centre, and not in the bar anymore, where it was hard to do the Bible studies because of the noise.

Finally, we asking for prayer for the outreach activities we’re going to do, for the students we’ll be talking to, for the young adults who come to the meetings but have not yet given their lives to Christ, and that new students would emerge to take responsibility for the group.

Praise

We want to thank God that this year we’ve had more contact with students and and a number of new people have joined in the Bible studies.
We held a film night in March, and we were able to talk about Jesus with friends and housemates.

Prayer

We’d like prayer for our future meetings. We’d like to organise a couple of events in May. Moreover, from April onwards, we’re going back to doing outreach in the University and we’re also asking for prayer with this, that the students would be keen to know about the message of salvation.

We’re located in a small town at the bottom of the Paduan plain, hidden under pillowy fog.

The GBU was officially founded in Parma this year, even though a small group had already formed last year to reflect together once a month.

Praise

We recognise God’s work in having united us, in having sown and watered the desire in our hearts to be a light in our university.

As of today, the GBU is meeting twice a month with a dozen young adults to study the book of Ecclesiastes, and once a month we’re working on sharing the Gospel with students.

Prayer

Let’s pray for Friday 26 November, the day when we’re going to go into the faculty to talk to the students about Jesus;

let’s pray for our first event in December, that it would be fruitful;

let’s pray for the group, that we would be united and collaborative
